SOFT AND HARD TISSUE RECONTRUCTION
The primary objective of this course is to equip participants with the essential resources and knowledge for accurate diagnosis and effective treatment planning in the realm of soft and hard tissue augmentation. Special attention will be devoted to understanding and applying biology as the cornerstone for the proper interpretation and manipulation of tissues, encompassing both reconstructive surgery and mucogingival procedures.
Embark on a journey through the surgical procedure, meticulously analyzing each stage with predictability as the ultimate goal. Participants will actively apply theoretical learnings in numerous hands-on activities, focusing on soft and hard tissue augmentation techniques. These practical sessions cover root coverage techniques and regenerative bone surgery, encompassing the acquisition and processing of block grafts, as well as the manipulation and fixation of membranes. Additionally, participants will master flap management aimed at achieving tension-free wound closure.

He earned his DDS degree from Alfonso X El Sabio University, Spain, in 2005. Dr. Sánchez Santos pursued further studies, specializing in Implant Dentistry at Göteborg University’s Department of Biomaterials / Handicap Research in 2006. Subsequently, he completed an intensive program in Oral Surgery, Implant Dentistry, and Periodontics at UAX, Spain, from 2007 to 2009, earning an associated professorship the following year.
In 2016, Dr. Sánchez Santos achieved the pinnacle of his academic journey by obtaining his PhD degree. He has been a dedicated educator since 2009, teaching Oral Surgery in the postgraduate program at UAX. Driven by a passion for sharing knowledge, he serves as an international speaker, contributing to the global discourse in his areas of expertise.
